FEATURED PROJECT

Marriott Momi Bay

FIJI

The Marriott Momi Bay Fiji Resort is on the West coast of Vitu Levi, a thirty-minute drive south of the airport at Nadi.

CHADA was commissioned to design the 136 standard rooms, 114 freestanding ‘Bure’ Villas and all public areas, including four restaurants, which sit around an extensive man made lagoon with turquoise water and palm fringed beach.

Re-commissioned by client FNPF, the project was resuscitated in 2012 after a failed start in 2008.

The tropical climate inspired a relaxed chic resort design. A series of semi open cabana structures creates direct seamless conversation of the interiors and architecture. Fijian tapa motifs provides inspiration for the textured yet contemporary interiors. The choice of materials, inspired by local crafts, create an iconic and unique offering to Fiji.

The resort features mainland Fiji’s first over water villas, and provides a distinctive offering to the region.
