It’s always a joy for us as designers to work with local craftsmen and never more so than during the creation of Saffire.

This multi-award winning boutique property has a relaxed coastal feel with a focus on local-workmanship, suppliers and craftsmen. Saffire is a 20-suite boutique destination resort with an emphasis on the word destination.

The Planning was designed in such a way as to allow guests the freedom to flow from space to space with private zones created by seating groups.

Our design ideas were always going to be driven by the outstanding natural environment; a pristine coastal landscape, and the purity of the environment is reflected in a fresh, modern, relaxing and uncontrived design style.

The base palette of materials – stone and timber – closely relates to the landscape with colours, hues and textures which create an almost seamless feel between the inside and outside. The interiors do not compete but harmonise with the site’s natural beauty and offer the guest comfort and luxury whilst allowing them to use the space freely and informally as they might relax in a coastal home.
